You Were Not Born to Become a Robot

You are allowed to learn, change, contradict yourself and experience life fully.

Our goal in life should not be to become rigid like a non-living thing. Instead, it should be to die each day and be reborn another so that we can experience multiple lifetimes in one life.

I see people constantly trying to become something fixed.

They want to be consistent with everything they said yesterday. They want to behave according to what society expects of them. They want their life to follow a particular map and then they spend their entire lives defending that map.

But why?

In reality our true nature is that of a breeze flowing, not a tree stuck in one place.

Today I can choose something and tomorrow based on my experiences I might choose something entirely different. That's the beauty of being human. You are allowed to learn, you are allowed to change, you are allowed to contradict yourself.

Osho can only be understood by people who believe in true freedom, because contradicting yourself is your freedom in itself. Fully accepting both sides of yourself proves that you really are free, even free to be called a hypocrite.

But you see, we have made everything so mechanical.

We tell children to grow up, become responsible, stop being playful, follow a path and then wonder why adulthood becomes so heavy.

So instead of telling a child to grow up maybe we should tell ourselves to let go, to play and flirt with life with totality, inner joy, experimenting with it and enjoying the whole process.

Things that come naturally are genuine. You don't have to constantly remember that you should be like this or like that. No, that will make you a robot.

You didn't arrive on this earth to become a robot. You have come to experience this life as a human being.

And being human means taking decisions from your heart, even if they are wrong, because you will learn in time. Every mistake will tune your understanding of yourself.

So live. Experiment. Make mistakes. Learn. Change.

Don't become so obsessed with preserving who you were yesterday that you forget to discover who you can become today.
