Science Is Not Your Spiritual Authority
Question every authority, experiment with life and discover what is true for yourself.
I am a free spirit and it's only I who will decide what I will believe in, what I wanna give power to, what I wanna imagine and how I wanna experience this life.
And no one can take that freedom away from me.
Earlier scientists used to be ridiculed by people of faith but now the opposite happens, and people of faith are ridiculed. Let's just stop this cycle of hate and let everyone be.
Let's stop this apparent superiority of science or religion.
I don't want one authority replacing another. I don't want people to accept something simply because a scientist has said it, just as I don't want them to accept something simply because a religious authority has said it.
What I want is for every individual to discover things for themselves.
Science has given humanity so many beautiful inventions. Think about the internet, medicine, electricity, AI and everything that has made our lives easier.
But does that mean scientific knowledge should become the authority over what you are allowed to contemplate, imagine or experience inwardly?
Why should spirituality and science be made enemies?
I feel it's high time scientists change their mindset about spirituality and rather than dismissing its methods, they should try practising them and see for themselves what those experiences reveal.
And spiritual seekers too should remain open to investigation rather than turning their beliefs into something that can never be questioned.
Because ultimately what matters is the discovery of truth.
What I truly want to encourage is art, creativity, thinking out of the box, love, faith in yourself, the courage to question and the willingness to experiment.
I don't want us to become high intellectual robots who know everything about the external world but have never explored their own consciousness.
We are all scientists of our own lives.
We observe, experiment, learn, change, and try again.
And perhaps the greatest experiment you can ever perform is the experiment of looking within yourself.
So question the scriptures. Question science. Question society.
And most importantly, question your own assumptions too.
Don't simply replace one authority with another.
Discover. Experience. Understand.
That is what freedom means to me.
