AI Might Finally Give Humanity the Freedom to Be Human

The greatest possibility of AI may be the time and freedom to become more curious, creative and loving.

I am so so optimistic about AI that I believe it's going to take us back to a golden age of love where human bonds will become more valuable, communities will expand more and people will connect more because they will have so much more free time.

Think about it.

For so long we have been conditioned to believe that at any point of time we must be doing something, producing something, achieving something, working towards something.

But why?

Who decided that the purpose of human existence was to spend the majority of our lives working just to survive?

The fast-paced life, the big American dream, the constant competition to be better than someone else—all of this may undergo a tremendous transformation as AI becomes increasingly capable.

How can one keep competing purely on execution when so much of the work can be replicated or automated by AI?

Maybe this is precisely the opportunity humanity needs.

People could finally have the freedom to explore themselves, cultivate their spirit, create art, meditate, build communities, fall in love, read, travel, experiment and experience this beautiful life.

I imagine a world where execution becomes easier and thinking is encouraged, new ideas are encouraged, creativity is encouraged, humanity is encouraged.

And you know the beautiful part?

We are all scientists of our own lives and now we have this extraordinary power in our hands. We should take as much help from it as we can towards satisfying our curiosity as well as building things rather than just using it like a second Google.

AI is a tool. What matters is what we choose to do with it and whether we make its benefits available to everyone.

For me the greatest possibility of AI is not simply that it makes us more productive.

It's that it might finally give us the time and freedom to become more human.

More curious. More creative. More loving. More conscious.

And perhaps, with all this freedom, we will finally turn our attention inwards and discover the beautiful world that has been waiting inside us all along.
